Does any one know cheap ways to get to Fiji or other places in the south pacific from Australia?

I will be going to Austrialia next year, while I am there I would like to travel around the south pacific and to some asian countries. So if any one has any suggestions about cheap boats/ships and airlines and other ways to get around thanks.

I haven´t been to Fiji or so, but a good advise would be to order the newsletters of the australien-airlines.

they quite often have some specials a few month weeks before departure date

My uncle did it for a year, all thru the Pacific Islands and loved it.

From Austrillia to Fiji it doesn't cost a lot, those are great places to go to. Try flying with air pacific or Quants air line. Have fun =D

At the moment Virgin Blue have a promo fare to Fiji for for $154 plus taxes of $105. These fares come up for certain days only and the fare was departing from Brisbane. Jet star have some terrific fares to Asia. It pays to play around with the computer when you know when you would like to go. Also air asia have started up here now I  believe they fly out of Coolangatta on the Gold coast  http://www.airasia.com/
