  1. ,some tablets take weeks to build up in your body, anti depressants , some antibiotics, blood pressure tablets, but most over the counter tablets take hours but may need to be taken regularly to keep the threshold up like  paracetamol pain killers need this others you only need to take once for it to work , but you should only take medicines once you have read the risk assessment in the box, unless you are taking illegal drugs then lay back and hang on

  2. about five minutes to get into your system, 25 for it to be absorbed into your blood stream and begin to work

  3. Minutes usually. But it could take 30 minutes to "feel" the affect like if you take a pain killer. Aspirin which is good for your heart can start affecting your heart within 2-3 minutes and in RARE cases has helped heart attack victims.

  4. About 30 minutes or so.

  5. That depends on the type of tablet.  Generally, though, 20 minutes is when your body starts to benefit from whatever you've consumed.

  6. It depend what it is, paracetemol and aspirin usually work in about 30 minutes

  7. what medicine is it?  each chemical compound ... eg medicine ... has a different absorption rate.

Also, are you taking it on a full stomach or empty?

  8. Depends on what you're taking, it should be on the box. Most take anywhere from 20 min to an hour!

  9. From my experience about 1 hour on the dot, but some are made to dissolve better and quicker than others

  10. Usually about 20 minutes.

  11. The time it takes to feel a response to medication depends on several factors, such as the metabolism of the person ingesting the drug, whether the drug is taken on an empty stomach or with food, and the release characteristics of the medication.

Generic pain relievers, such as acetominophen and ASA, begin to dissolve in the stomach immediately after being taken. These typically take between 10 and 30 minutes before the person who has taken them feels any effects. These drugs are effective for only a few hours.

Coated drugs, such as enteric coated ASA, are designed to dissolve slowly and release the medication in the digestive tract after leaving the stomach. The effects of coated drugs may not be felt for up to 60 minutes. Coated drugs are taken less frequently than uncoated medications.

Some pain relievers, such as oxycontin, are designed to release medication slowly and continuously over a period of several hours. These also require as much as 30 minutes before taking effect, but work for a much longer period of time (at least 8 hours).

  12. depends what tablet it is.. some work straight away some take about 1 hour .. pain killers i think take around 45 minutes - 1 hour
