  1. Go out and buy the materials to make it yourself including enough cement to make a foundation for the fence only. Look at another chainlink fence in the area to get an idea about what you will need. Roughly you should nee 4 metal posts, chainlink, post caps, horizontal stability posts for the top, and thick gauge wire to wire the chainlink to the posts. Dig about a foot trench where the fence is going to go. Get the site ready for pouring the concrete. When you pour the concrete set the posts and secure them so they will dry straight. You also might think about setting the chainlink in the concrete. These are my plans for my kennel, I just have to wait to get the money for the building as it's going to be inside/outside.

  2. Why not ask around neighbours and friends to see if they can recommend a joiner or handyman in your area that can build you one as a homer.

  3. Go back to the shops that sell them, measure them up and draw what you see, you can work out what you need from the drawings.

If the salesman asks what you are at, tell him you are not sure if it will fit your yard, will it be good for a pit-bull? do they make a more rugged one? what are the sizes of the timber? what is it treated with?

I presume you are not complaining that the "lady dog" did not come flat-packed with instructions!

  4. Build a frame out of wood and use 2 inch chicken wire, that should be ok, depends on how strong / big the dog is!
