  1. With that sort of style, you either have to buy them in extensions (which i would recommend if you're going for a non-natural colour, eg. pink) or have your hairdresser hi-lite your hair that way. I would recommend going to a hairdresser that specializes in more modern hair styles.

  2. You have to bleach to sections you want to dye with a dye application brush or dye the sections blond first, if you have dark hair. Them you dye the lighter portions(blond sections) with the color that you want. Careful not to go over the lighter sections. Rinse out without letting the color bleed onto natural colored hair.

  3. "How to make coon tails in your hair" is below.

You need the hair dye and clips or ponytail holders to keep the other hair out of your way.  You use tape to mark off the places that you don't want colored. Then, you apply the color to the exposed hair. The details - really good tips, too - are at the site below.

  4. ive seen tutorials for it online. all you do is you place tape around your hair in sections, about 1 inch apart. then put the bleach on top, it wont get into the part that has been taped. then wash, and make it as light as you want with repeated bleachings spaced apart, then dye it with the color that you wish to use. you could always use conditioner or vaseline instead of the tape, but thats easier.

  5. The way that my friend dyed my hair to make coontails was this:

Use tape, like scotch type and take them out in as many segments as you want for how many natural hair color stripes you want, all in equal lengths (1-3 inches preferably).

Take a segment of your hair that you want the coontail in. then put each piece of tape on your hair to cover the part you don't want to dye with bleach in a pattern of tape, no tape, tape, no tape, tape, etc.

On the parts that aren't covered in tape apply hair bleach (this can be bought at hot topic for less than $20 if I'm remembering correctly).

Leave on for the recommended amount but do not exceed it for too long or else your hair will end up getting thin enough to create breakage.

After you have bleached your desired segments of hair, take the pieces of tape off of your hair, and rinse off the bleach.

Make sure your hair is all dry before you dye the bleached parts the color of choice. I highly recommend Hot Topic unnatural colors, they're more vibrant and last longer. ( Manic Panic is best:)).

    I hope this helps!

Don't forget to use gloves, and if you get hair dye on your skin, shaving cream works wonders. Just gently rub the shaving cream on the spot that is dyed for about 10 minutes or so. It wont completely get the dye off but it will help to eliminate most of it. (Experience, my hands looked like they belonged to the blue man group).

    Good luck dear!

  6. first of all you need to bleach your hair if it's not blonde already because it will not show on dark hair.

and i guess you would dye one section pink the other black and so forth.

hair stylists should know how to do it.

  7. ... if ur hair isnt already black then dye it completely black.. nd then streaks of pink
