Does any one know how to set a vcr.?

I can't give you a definite answer without knowing the make, but what you could do is look up the manual on the internet.  They all work differently.  Sorry i can't be more helpful.  Oh yes, and if you haven't got the remote and need it, you can get a universal remote quite cheaply which will work.
