Does any one know or remember what Denholme Village in Bradford West Yorkshire was like after world war II?

My little boy needs to know for his homework and I am unable to help him and can find nothing on the internet.

If you live close to it, could you go to one of those places where you Brits gather to drink warm beer - "Pubs", I think they are called - and look for an old person? Buy him a pint and ask him.

Not sure when he as to do is homework but if you contact the library in that area they will hold all you need to know they usually have archive centres there good luck.

This image was scanned from the Yorkshire Observer Budget in 1956. It describes the village as it was in that year.  I hope it is of some help.
