Does any one know the driving directions from Matamoros (the border) to Queretaro?

We could not find a good map around Dallas and we know there is The Sierra in the way, I am hoping someone knows the best route. I would appreciatte if you can tell me the distance as well.

You need to get a Guia Roji, the Mexican road atlas.  Check at a large bookstore.  If you cannot find it there, you can get it at Amazon.com.  Remember that distances on Mexican maps are in kilometers and a kilometer is .62 miles. I just figured up the mileage and driving time using the Guia Roji...it is 660 miles  and about 11 hrs.from Reynoso to Queretaro.  I say Reynoso because I believe it is much better to cross at Reynoso than at Matamoros...but that is your choice.  When you use the Guia Roji, do NOT use the mileage chart...it has errors.  Use the map in front that shows kilometers from city to city...I have found it to be more accurate.  Take Hwy 40 from Reynoso to Monterrey to Saltillo.  Hwy 57 to San Luis Potosi,   ( there is actually a little by-pass that goes around S.L.P. so watch for that)  and continue on 57 to Quereterro.  If you have not driven in Mexico before, need hints, insurance info. , or car permit info, please email me and I will be glad to help you.  I see the other answerer got a little less on mileage and time...could be...often different sources give diff. info.  But alwayswplan on things taking MORE time than you expect in Mexico!
