Does any one know the growth percentage rate for a dj buisness from 2006-2007?

I'm writing out a business plan to start a small mobile dj business

i am also wondering what are the prices that are charged for normal events so far for weddings i have found any wear from $500 to $1500.

i dont know what i will charge.

rite now im charging $350 but i have a investor who wants me to raise all my prices.

i will be fully equipped dj / kj

and i charge any wear from $50 - $350 depending on the event

what do you charge for each event.

and i dont like to do hourly i prefer a strait price.

Well, you didn't put your location, but good dj's in the NNJ/NYC area can charge about $1000 per event with their equipment.  You could be lousy, you could be in the burbs with little demand.  However, if you are a quality talent with good equipment, I'd never go under $500 per 5 hr event.
