  1. 36 euro! look here http://www.ferroviedellostato.it/

    I'm italian

  2. I'm from Italy, dont live there now, but visit it every year, and in the last months the train prices have gone up a bit, since I did that trip more than once it usually costs around 20-60 euros..depends on how many people and which train it is. For example if you take the normal train, the intercity, or the Eurostar.

Usually Eurostar is the most comfortable and fast, but it costs the msot, at least I can guarantee you a good trip. 40-60 Euro

The intercity is pretty fast, clean, not the best choice tho. but very reliable. 20-40 Euro.

The normal italian train is a little slow with traffic and you could risk getting from rome to naples 1 or 2 hours LATE...not very clean, but if your looking for something economic this is for you..ticket should be no more than 15 euros!

    Have a nice journey! :D

Reminder: Prices have gone up, so this may not be AS accurate.

  3. You can check current schedules and prices on the Italian train website. The English language version is here: http://www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html. Ticket prices depend on the train type and whether there are discount fares available. Right now, the price from Rome to Naples is 10.50 euro on a regional train (2 hr 46 min - lots of stops). It's19.50 euro on an intercity plus train (2nd class; if the Amica discount is available, the price is 15.80 euro; 2 hr to 2 hr 16 min). The Eurostar price is 27.60 euro in 2nd class (22.10 for the Amica fare; 1 hr 53 min). The Alta Velocita trains are 36.10 euro standard 2nd class or 28.90 if you can get the Amica fare (1 hr 27 min travel time). To get the Amica fare, you need to buy tickets at least one day in advance.

If you mean Ravello on the Amalfi Coast, you can't get there by train alone. You can take the Circumvesuviana train from Naples to Sorento or Salerno, and then take a bus along the Amalfi Coast highway or you can take a bus from Naples. There are links to the bus company schedules on the Ravello website: http://www.comune.ravello.sa.it/index.ph... This is in Italian, but you should be able to figure out the schedules.
