Does any one know what takes ink off of things? My son exploded a pen on my desk...

I got ink pen on my wood desk and also on my plastic toilet seat, Does anyone know what would remove it? I have tried hairspray and mr clean magic eraser??

get some goo gone from walmart or home depot. it comes in handy a lot.

simple rubbing alcohol is pretty much the standard solvent for ink.  test it on a small area of your wood desk before really going at it, but all you should need is a few cotton balls and a bottle of alcohol.

after you clean the desk, wipe with a cloth soaked in some warm water, let dry completely and then use some pledge or other polish on it to restore the shine the alcohol takes off.

the toilet seat should come clean with no problem unless it's one of those textured puffy ones
