Does any one know what this Lizard amulet means?

This is not an umbilical amulet, which are pouches.  This item is a carved bead, probably a stone lizard fetish produced in the Southwest.

The Lizard is associated with conservation and agility. It is also believed that the Lizard promotes dreaming.

No. Wish I knew where geographically it came from.  In the Anastasi children were blessed in an umbilicus, with a lizard beaded on for male babies and a turtle for girl babies
