  1. Ayala is from Spain, it appears as a surname very early and spreads across Europe, then across the world including Spanish settlements like  the Philippines.

The Coat of Arms registered to Ayala in Spain is two black wolves on a silver shield, later in England it is Quartered with four castles to represent that the name is from Spain. A history book I have describes the coat of arms as:

Ayala (Spain) Quarterly, 1st and 4th, argent two wolves passant in pale sable within a bordure gules charged with eight saltires or; 2nd and 3rd, or, a four towered castle azure, for castile.

  2. This is what I found for you.

    Ayala Name Meaning and History

Basque: habitational name or topographic name from Basque ai ‘slope’, ‘hillside’ + al(h)a ‘pasture’.

    hope this helps.

  3. Itjustme gave you a good answer on the Ayala surname.

Coats of arms do not belong to surnames. See my answer regarding the Tolano name.

The surname product business which includes coats of arms is nothing but a scam.

  4. What the h**l is an "ayala"?

  5. There is or was a Spanish family of the name Ayala.  Couldn't say about the coat of arms, though.
