The Kentucky Derby has and will always happen on the 1st Saturday in May. It is held at the Churchill Downs which is in Louisville, KY. Tickets sell out quick and buying them from a vendor on line will set you back at least $400 for the worst seats and way too many thousands of dollars for the best.

The Kentucky Derby is always held the 1st Saturday in May and it is held at Churchill Downs in Louisville,Kentucky.If you don't have a reserved seat,you can go and hang out in the infield,but on Derby Day,it's about 40.00 or 50.00 to do that.If you want,you can write to Churchill Downs every year between Derby Day and Labor Day and ask for tickets.This puts you on a waiting list for seats that cost about 90.00 each.It may take awhile and you have to write every year.

The Derby is always held on the 1st saturday in May. As for tickets, they can range from $50.00 & up on Friday (Oaks Day) & from $125 & up on Derby day. If you don't scalp them on those days, you're ONLY other way to get in is buying a general admission pass to the infield. $25.00 on Friday, $40.00 on Saturday. Good luck.
