  1. We live in catalunya and cows live and breed here in this part of spain.

The bulls are bred throughout spain. For more info www.spanish-living.com. The oldest bull ring is in Ronda but, the most beuatiful bull ring is in Sevilla.

  2. cos they are all on holiday in jersey ha ha

  3. I was driving in Guadalajara a couple of years ago and I almost hit a bull that was standing in the middle of the road. Also saw some cows in Asturias. But I never saw any in Andalucia or La Mancha.

  4. In southern Spain the cows are usually kept in shippons as there is very little grass to eat and the heat has to be tolerated.

Cows can be seen in fields as you proceed north.

The fighting bulls are always kept and bred on Spanish ranches and you would have to visit one of these  to see them other than in a ring or at Pamplona etc.

  5. Well spotted!

As mentioned elsewhere, you see cows grazing in the north because there is something for them to eat.

In the hotter parts of the country, they are kept indoors to protect them from the heat and lack of natural feed.

In the bad old days, cows were kept in dairies in cities, in the back of the shop!. In fact some ex- dairies are still called 'granjas' in Barcelona.

Fighting bulls can be seen in the countryside.

I recall a farm on the left-hand side on leaving Vejer de la Fra on the Algeciras road

  6. I go to Spain loads to visit friends&family on the costa brava,& I have to drive past a cow farm on way from Girona airport & it stinks mate! So to answer your Question, yes there is cows in spain!! Hahaha.

  7. There are, they are just hiding!!!

  8. Because they have MOOOOVED.

  9. Have you not been to benidorm in August? Plenty there

  10. yes there are lots of cows ,but they are inside doing the housework

  11. We do have cows in the mountains, for example in the Pirineos and Galicia is plenty of them, well all the North of Spain.

The bulls: in the center and South of the country.

  12. Whilst travelling to Gibraltar today we saw many herds, this was on the toll road E15, which is a little further inland than the N340 coastal road.

The bulls for bullfighting are bread and reared on huge farms in the countryside. I have seen such farms in the Cordoba area and they are well looked after.

Pity they have to come to such a sad end

  13. In the north of Spain there are many cows. Probably something to do with lots of grass in north and not much grass in the south.

  14. i'm sure they must have cows somewhere in spain!  it must depend which part you visit (i doubt you visited the entire country, tho i could be wrong!).

as for the bulls, they also have them in southern France.

  15. You would find them 'mainly on the plains'

(The cows in Spain stays mainly on the plains) De dum dum dum
