Does any one knows how to make a project on facial recognition ?

I want to make a project on facial recognition and i do not know what to,where to,and how to and time is running out .If there is some thing from where i could get a healthy start and a happy successful ending .

First, do you mean face detection or face recognition?  The latter is a bit more involved than the former.  Google OpenCV, it's a good open source computer vision library from intel that I believe comes with face detection algorithms.  If you wanted true recognition, good luck.  Whats your experience with this kind of thing?

Most facial recognition is done with neural networks. But there is no simple way. They take a great deal of time and one also has to have a method of representing the face in a somewhat uniform manner. So if you have little time you won't finish without stealing another's work.
