  3. Its all digitally encrpyted now - not listenable to on a scanner.

  4. the signal is digital, with the right hard ware and soft ware YOU CAN decode it ;)

  5. I'm sure it varies from area to area. I thought it was all encrypted now though. Gone are the days when i'd sit at home and twiddle my FM dial and listen to the broadcasts. Mind you that's because I'm now doing 15 years for armed robbery, because I was listening to the cricket instead of scanning the police transmissions to keep one step ahead of them. DOH!!
