  1. There are over 1000 Britzes in the 1930 census, and almost 2000 in the phone book..  If you want to know about your particular family, which includes more surnames than Britz, you will have to do the research.

And, by the way, you don't have to bribe people here in Genealogy.  We love to research, points or no points.

Good luck on your search and have fun.

  2. If you are trying to find LIVING relatives, you can go to either Zabasearch.com or PeopleData.com and type in the last name.

PeopleData will list names, addresses and phone numbers, but they may or may not be all that current, but at least it will give you a starting point of contacts.

    Good Luck.

  3. go to: www.ancestry.com

  4. I can just about guarantee that none of us know your family history.  I bet we know how to show you how to find it.

Your parents (grandparents), for starters.. are confidential information, unless you are inviting someone here to do ID theft.

Second.. there is nothing that says there is ONE Britz family in the world. YOUR family history, except for any full siblings, belongs only to you.  It includes your mother's side of the family (she is not a Britz). All four of your grandparents (only one of those is a Britz).  Ladies use maiden names in research.  Genealogy is not about last names.. it is about ancestors, and you have plenty of those with different names.

The hardest part about genealogy? sometimes, it is explaining to people HOW it works, and why it is not just a matter of punching your name into some database; and telling you why that database might give you false information.  The most common reason for the false information? People who don't want to bother, learning how to find accurate information.

I can offer you cyndis list, which has THOUSANDS of genealogy sites.  I don't even know if you are in the US, the UK, or Antartica.. so I can't say which ones are going to have your family.

Still interested?? We have a number of persons here who spend a couple hours a day here, or more.. helping people get going on their family history. I spend maybe 15 minutes per answer.. not one of them is cut and pasted from a saved file. Nothing easy about any 10 pts that I get.

Pull out your birth certificate, and verify your parents. Next, pull out your parents, and verify theirs. Collect the vitals.. date, place, names.  By the way.. you might think it is senseless to find records for what you already "know".. but when you get back 100 yrs, and no one remembers.. the light will go on, as to WHY records are the basic foundation.

We would LOVE helping you find your history, if you really want it.
