  1. I just found out about all that Mayan stuff, but check this out, cause I haven't found it yet.  The Bible says that the end of the world will be something like 50 or 75 years after Isreal becomes a nation again.  Isn't that 2012??

  2. No !! I don't believe it! ............just relax.

  3. NO!!! stop buying into this BS!  there is no evidence for this!

  4. For every crazy idea that someone has floated, there are nut jobs who believe.  So, yes, there are people who believe the world will end in 2012.  There are also people who believe they were abducted by aliens, and others who believe the world is flat.  There are even people who believe "An Inconvenient Truth".

  5. Relax, you're fine.

The Mayan calendar will run out of dates in its current Long Count cycle of approx 5125 years. Several crackpot philosphers with an incomplete understanding of this calendar have suggested that the world will end on or about this time, since the Maya believed previous three "creations," were terminated by the gods at this time, having been failures. The current creation, however, was thought by the Maya to have been successful, so the end of the world does not necessairly apply (all this assuming the Maya cosmology is a correct and consistent view of our world, which it is not).

But in the end the incorrectly interpreted beliefs about a calender of a people whose civilization collapsed of its own accord, had some other strange and irrational beliefs and are now extinct are pretty irrelevant, aren't they?

  6. well, sorry lady, but to burst yore bubble, yes, there is one person who does believe this, but, chin up lassie !!! it is ONLY one, and that one has a gene pool needing bleach...so, have no fear, your children are going to be fine, give them hope of a bright future...it is but one among us, then there is the other ONE who thinks the world will come to an end tomorrow......another fruitcake, so, when you wake up tomorrow, you will see the futility of the whole end of earth routine. you are most welcome.

  7. No thats untrue but USA is going to be different

  8. No, I don't believe it. There have been many prophecies about the end of the world and obviously none of them has been correct. But if it does end on that day, so what? We won't be here to care.

  9. Oh man...you are caught into this freak out trap with me.  I have been hearing about it so I've done some research about it about a few days ago.

Yes, I was freaking out!  When I was reading people's responses, I was shivering.  I couldn't stop.

But once I read some people's things, there actually is NO proof that it is the end of the world.  The Mayans never said that the date would be the end of the world.

The calendar just ended on that date.  I mean, every calendar can't go on forever.  But that marks some thing with the universe.  I think it marks the straight elignment of the planets.  And it ends the 3rd or 4th cycle of the sun.  And it starts a new cycle.

And on that date, there will be change.  I heard something with the magnetic fields on Earth that would mess with our wireless devices and electrical grid.  But it won't last long.

Possibly something could happen like a hurricane or tsunami.

That day some people say that it is the date where human beings change and become better people.  Instead of all this hate.

Like I said, the Mayans never said it would end on that date.  People just assume because us humans can be weird and take something the wrong way.

But no, the world is NOT going to end on that date.  Because my mom went to a fortune teller and she told her that she was going to live until she was like 84.  So that means we aren't going to die.

So just think of the positives.  I seriously don't believe that the world will end.

You are probably like me.  You know it won't end but reading everything on google, you still freak out.

Just try and keep your mind off it of and just live your life to the fullest.  Remember every moment of your life and enjoy it.

But don't freak out.  It's the worst thing you can do.  You will be thinking about the last 4 years and always concerning over it and then that date will come and NOTHING will happen and you will be like "oh I was worried and nothing happened and now my 4 years are gone"

Well hopefully I helped you understand.  I couldn't put it into the right words.  But if you want to talk or me to help you, you can IM me on Yahoo.  My screen name is in my info.

Have a Great Life and Have Fun with your Kids! :D

Please, if you still feel uneasy about this, you can totally IM me.  Because I've felt the same thing.  I got so nervous I was just shivering and felt like puking.  But I got myself through this.  And I don't want you to go through the same thing since you shouldn't worry your family about it either.

  10. maybe it the beginning of the end or a new beginning i hope

  11. Perhaps you will like reading this: The same thing has been said in 1856, 1867, 1874, 1889, 1899, 1907, 1914, 1916, 1927, 1936, 1939, 1941, 1944, 1951, 1959, 1969, 1984, 1989, 1999, 2000, 2012.....

See a pattern here? (IT NEVER ENDED!) :-)

    Enjoy life to the fullest.
