Does any one use HSBC Direct? what are the advantages and disadvantages?

looks the interest is pretty high. How does it work? and does it work well? is it convenient?

and they offer 3 types of accts which are:1.online saving acct. 2.online payment acct. 3.online CD -------which one is the best??

also..do i have to transfer a certain amount of money from my linked checking acct(which is non-HSBC acct) to HSBC Direct acct every month?

any experience you have had with HSBC direct is appreciated.

I have two accounts with HSBCDirect (Savings and Online Payment).

You can transfer as much or little as you wish as often as you wish.

I transfer money from my non-HSBC checking account weekly.  It is a small amout but it adds up over time.

The only drawback is their log in.  The customer ID that they assign you is 20 numbers log.  Much too long to memorize.  So, every time you log in you need to find the letter that they sent you with your customer ID on it.  Other than that.....I have no complaints.
