Does any restaurant ban fake fingernails? Would you go?

When I eat out, I'd rather my food wasn't being prepared by women wearing fake fingernails. They are known to harbor germs, and the place that made it a policy to ban them would get my business.

  1. Most restaurants have a rule that you can't have them. But, at least at the restaurants I've worked at, all cooks must wear gloves. If they have gloves on, there are no germs. Problem solved.

  2. umm sure, why nott

but anyone with long fingernails - even if they are real - are going to catch germs

  3. They should be required to wear gloves, but I would be somewhat bothered too I guess.

  4. I think they do not allow fake fingernails while they are preparing the food.

  5. Most of the big chains are policies regarding length of nails on all employees and kitchen employees usually cannot even wear polish.
