Does any state sell 3 Liter liquor bottles?

Question

I know my state of Virginia can't legally sell anything larger than a 1.75 Liter bottle (also know as a 1/2 gallon or "handle") But I see 3 liter bottles of Jack Daniel's for sale on Ebay (though the "3,0 Litre" marking on the front leads me to believe they are made for export to European or other countries only. Anybody ever see one in the states or have more information? My boyfriends works in a LIQUOR STORE, & even he can't seem to get a straight answer!!

I doubt it as a popular product.

Either you get 1 gallon or you get a 1.75 liter.

Sometime, during the holiday, add sizes are made available.
