I bought gas that caused my engine to run poorly. My mechanics pulled my fuel injectors and the screens were gone. Completely eaten apart. Since I bought the car used they first thought that someone might have scraped the screens to clean them previously and didn't think about it being a fuel issue. Two days after picking the car up, and driving with the same tank of gas as before, the car misfired again. The mechanic pulled my injectors a second time and saw the screens were already being eaten apart. We pulled the fuel pump and got a sample of the gas and determined that it may be the cause of the problem. When they smelled it seemed to smell very weak. The color was more yellow and very cloudy, and when they each poured some onto their hands to smell it, their hands began to burn and go slightly numb.
I am wondering if anyone else has had this issue, or knows where I can find some information about poor fuel ruining fuel injectors and such. I have had no luck with internet searches and need some background information to help prove my point to the large fuel corporation that I have a claim against right now!
