  8. A fascinating biography that is getting great reviews is "Ibn al-Haytham: First Scientist" by Bradley Steffens. It tells the inspiring, true story of a medieval Muslim scholar who overcame bouts of mental illness to develop the scientific method two hundred years before the Europeans learned of it—by reading his books. The author just received the Theodor S. Geisel Award for the best book published by a San Diego County author last year. You can find reviews of the book and a sample chapter at http://www.ibnalhaytham.net/ Enjoy!

  10. All jaqueline wilson books are great for teens! and pre-teens also. Just to name a few, theres in a series with books such as 'girls in love' 'girls in tears' 'girls under preasure'. These are actually about 13 year old girls!

Ofcourse, she has done loads more! Maybe google her and see some of the books shes done? I remember loving 'the story of tracy beaker'  Oh and love lessons, maybe a bit older when i read that, like 14. Now i'm into 'kiss' and I'm 15.
