  1. alright, first of all, get your form down correctly on close shots before attempting a longer range. The correct form will help in the long run if you start early.

There is something called "C shooting" where you shoot with one hand, but it really works on your form (feet shoulder width, ankles/ knees/ hips bent at joints, dominant arm forms a C: upper arm is perpendicular to body, forearm makes a right angle and is lined up with your knee, hand is bent backwards with a ball in it. Therefore it forms a [ - like shape. Finally, follow through completely in one smooth motion as you release the ball. Make sure you jump straight up and straight down.)

Take five shots close and scoot back a step, then five more, and scoot back again, etc. You can do that from different angles.

By not going straight to shooting long threes, you won't gain the habit of chucking up the ball. Therefore, you can shoot from a longer range and actually make more shots.

There is also "start position" shooting, which is basically the same, but you add your guide hand and work on shooting it from the pocket. Still start close on that.

Lastly, work on it a little bit every day. It can't get better in just a few hours.

Oh yeah, and I'm sure everyone's saying this, but exercise! Not just arm exercises, leg exercises. A lot of your power will come from your legs.

    Best of luck!!!

  2. practices with a heavy ball. Also work on your triceps. Triangular pushups help

  3. shoot the ball one handed, and work out the triceps because that is the muscle you use to shoot, it would help to jump, bend your knees, and follow through on your shot

  4. To improve your shooting range you should first start out shooting close to the basket. Try shooting 10 times and then take a step back and shoot another 10 times and take a step back. Do that until you reach the 3 pt line. Do not change the way you shoot when you was close. Just use your legs more when you're far away. Bend your knees more and jump higher for your shots from far away.

    Cheers!

  5. I'm fourteen and last summer my parents had one of my family friends who was on the And 1 Mixtape Tour and played on a CBA team and was in the SPL, train me and my basketball skills. The way he drastically improved my shooting was by making me start a foot in front of the basket and make it a few times in a row, take a step back do it again and so on and so forth. This also helps with form. Best Answer?
