For what position - and whereabouts in the country?

Train drivers get paid more than people who work in the ticker counter etc.

I did not know that IM had a diffierant pay structure to the rest of us!!!

The nomal bands are 1-8 (1 being the top level - director and 8 being the bottom - there are not so many band 8 & I have not met one) I was a band 6 and earnt around £1200 after tax every 4 weeks which works out as about £15600 PA after tax or £19k without tax so I paid about £3400 tax....As I am not at home I do not have my pay slips to hand so the figures are from memory.

Do not forget that tax varies from person to person depending if you have a second job or not.
