  1. If you're seriously looking for a job on a ship go to their website. For example, Carnival.com, then find the job/career section. They will list the jobs and the location including at sea.

  2. i work for princess cruise lines in the shops. i purchesed a e book by neil maxwells "how to get a cruise ship job" that has everything you need to know. was the best $30 i spent.

is very hard work but alot of fun, i love it. wouldn't reccomend the bar though really long hours and really bad pay (basically tips) good luck.

  3. I agree with Globe Trotta. try another department.

She works for Princess which is one of the few cruise lines which still run their shops. On most its a concession.

I did shops for a long time but would not work for Starboard again, Hardings is much better in my opinion, better pay and less work.

    www.hardingbros.co.uk.

also really easy to get in.

Have you people noticed that Tivogal answers questions always with the same moronic reply and then goes on to thumbs down everybody else?

    What an as****.

  4. There are a couple of ways to go about this.  One is to contact an agency ...

    http://www.cruiselinejobs.com/

    http://www.cruiselinesjobs.com/

    http://www.jobmonkey.com/cruise/

The other method is to contact the cruise lines directly ...

    http://www.carnival.com/CMS/Fun_Jobs/ccl...

    http://dcljobs.com/

    http://164.109.173.40/employment/ncl/ind...

    http://employment.princess.com/employmen...

  5. go directly to the different cruiselines.

    cruiseclues.com

  6. The cruise ships that operate from US ports all hire their staff from overseas through contractors.  It is almost impossible to find an American on the service staff of a cruiseline.  The cruise staff like the singers, dancers, acts, and the cruise management staff are likely to be Americans but not the service staff.

The service staff works extremely long hours (16+ hours a day) for basically tips.  They have to sign a contract of 4 months with almost no time off.  Their living quarters are crowded into tiny cabins without windows.  They are not allowed to have social contact with passengers.

Is that the kind of job you really want?  The bartender is NOT like Isaac of Love Boat on television.
