Does anybody agree that the talk of global warming is an effort to just make money?

as a way for Gore to gain publicity, products to sell, and people to get a slice of advertising in the news? You have many scientists saying that global warming is just warming trends of the earth, but people won't listen to them.

There are very few scientists who dispute that humans are the primary cause of the current global warming.  Most who do are geologists, meteorologists, or geographers and not climatologists.  Many are also (coincidentally, I'm sure) funded by ExxonMobile.

Yes I do.  Gore's interest in the Carbon offset company is a conflict of interest and he is nothing but a salesman for his own gain.

you need to change your question.   global warming is a cyclical phenomenon that has been occurring for millions of year.

the THEORY of increased global warming due to man made influences is what gore believes in.

of course gore and his followers never make the distinction between the two.  just a subtle lie.

Is Global warming just all hype? No.

Is it entirely man made? Doubtful.

Is anyone aware that we are currently in an ice age? this distinction is made because we have polar ice caps. So since we know that in the past we were not in an ice age, that means at sometime in the past we did not have polar ice caps. Did man cause the ice to melt back then?

That being said, is man speeding up the process now? Probably.

Is it being hyped up for Political and economic reasons? Definitely!  

Gore wants to continue to be in the limelight, and he wants to increase funds for his "Carbon Offset Company'. And others want to fund there own personal agendas.

For me the biggest hoax is 'Carbon Offsets'

Schwarzenegger buys the right to already existing trees, to offset his carbon emissions. Already existing trees mind you, no one is planting anymore trees, he just buys the rights to claim they are neutralizing his emissions.

And Gore is another one, probably the biggest one, that claims to be 'carbon neutral' because he buys these offsets. Offsets in his own company mind you. And what exactly does his company do? They research into alternative energy sources. They DO NOT actually offset any carbon emissions, they are only researching into possible sources of energy that at some time in the future may actually offset Carbon emissions.

So my question is, if the company does not actually offset any real emissions, how can he claim to be 'Carbon Neutral'?

See if you recycle, no one is making money...well except the recycling industry, but who cares? How much effort does it take on your part to recycle? I am not a whole gore fanatic but I think we should give him the benefit of the doubt.

I agree.  However, the science shows humans are affecting the environment and Global Warming.  But yes, many are using it as a means to make money.  But that isn't a good argument not to start doing something about it.

i agree we have global warming.  However, too many people are too panicky.  Global warming is a natural phenonenom.  But, us humans add to it...a little bit too..making things a little worse.
