Does anybody believe the NIST report on building 7?

Why did the same amount of chemical energy cause the collapse of towers 1&2 yet was admittedly not a factor in the collapse of WTC7?

  1. No, and I love the way that Shayam Sunder keeps referring to the fact that the report is scientific.  They did not even forensically check the WTC 7 sight which is a strict lapse of NIST protocols for fire investigation:  http://www.fire.nist.gov/bfrlpubs/fire80...  They just looked at videos and testimonials the same way that the Truthers have to do because the don't have the resources that the government has.

Sander even excoriated a blogger for asking hardball questions telling him to read the 1000 page report and get back to him when he understood it.  It was the most patronizing display I have ever seen.  I am not an engineer, I have a B.A. in Psychology, but I know a line of bull when I hear it.

I can't understand all the people who are addicted to C.S.I. and other crime dramas not understanding how basic science is done and their lack of outrage at this cut to fit report.

  2. Report is a laughable joke . Complete scientific incompetence. It took them 6 months of computer modeling to come up with a 'great discovery that was unknown before' that metal when heated is expanding. That's hilarious

  3. It's interesting that one of the earlier theories, (of stored diesel fuel burning), being a contributory cause of the collapse, was championed by many on this forum, as if it was obvious, all those who disagreed were accused of "not understanding science"-this theory has been abandoned.

Then it was obfuscating chat about the power station, and assymetry of the building being, again, a contributary cause of the collapse-the same again, after all the sheep regurgitating it as fact, that theory is also abandoned.

The same will happen with this report. I am no expert but have seen crucial flaws in the latest NIST thesis (won't go into detail here).

It has just struck me what it reminds me of; that is of a very rich felon prolonging the legal process, hoping the prosecution will just give up trying.
