Does anybody else completely hate history?

I hated history! Always did!

But, I have a report due, which I have to interview someone, and I chose to "interview" my grandfather who was in the Vietnam War. I actually enjoyed listening to what he had to say. I have always hated history, but I guess when you talk to someone personally who has actually gone through something is more interesting. Of course, there are some things that he wouldn't talk about, like casualties, and I completely understand that.

Is anyone else like this, who completely hates history, but when you talk to someone personally you find it interesting?

  1. Don't hate history. If we don't learn from history we will repeat past mistakes. We also learn and can repeat past victories, The military still studies, and uses Ceasers ideas. If you know the past, you are prepared for the future.
