Its all changed. You cant leave any neutral or negative feedback for a buyer, but they can give you negative even if you didnt derserve it! And you cant mutually agree to withdraw it either! I have had 2 unfair feedback left for me when I had 100% positive! Its rubbish now!!

  1. The problem with ebay is that it now attracts the unscrupulous along with the Innocent. My rule of thumb now is any item I am selling or interested in bidding for I engage the third party in email exchange. This firstly puts off any rogue traders because they have no wish to identify themselves via email account and secondly any future problems are easier to iron out because of that new found dialogue.

At the end of the day though " caveat emptor " is the thing to remember

  2. I agree to a certain extent. but on the other hand I bought some stuff on ebay, paid instantly and didn't receive the item. The seller left me a negative because I refused to pay him again even after paypal gave me a full refund.

  3. Well....it's to protect buyers....if they were not happy with an item and left negative feedback..the seller could then leave nasty comments EVEN if the item was genuinely bad....also...there were loads of slanging matches going on....people just trading insults on the feedback page...it doesnt seem proffesional...and..the buyer is the most important thing....it's just like shops in the high street...they have to work really hard to get a good rep.

  4. Ebay is okay as its a great site find okay stuff. Yes I agree to some xtent about their changes and do not think it does anygood. Sellers need to raise the price of their own items to sell because eBay wants more money from sellers coz sellers were starting to earn more on ebay, thats why.

If its not for you there are other sites: uk and free - http://www.sellit-right.com and http://www.loot.com. There is http://www.amazon.co.uk too Try all of them.

  5. Yes, it's absolute rubbish now.

Not only the feedback but so many other things they've changed lately (and presumably you've seen the new fees coming into force on 24th Sept?)

  6. Yes, I agree, all the changes this year have been negative.

I was a Powerseller on there but decided to leave like many others.

  7. Ebay have shot themselves in the foot with these stupid changes, its all geared up in the buyers favour now, making it totally unfair for the seller. If they had made it equal so neither sellers nor buyers could leave negs, then that would have been so much better!!!  I also had a 100% feedback, and because one buyer blatantly lied about an item i sold him and gave me a neutral, i now have 98.6%. Lots of sellers don't bother with Ebay now and honestly, i don't blame them!!!!

  8. Yes I know how you feel, me and mum used to love getting a few presents for my sister and my children but then we started getting negative feedback for no reason at all so we stopped using it.I think we have 97% when we did have 100%! There are lots of other sites like ebay that dont give you negative feedback but after what happened with ebay, me and my mum don't want to use them.
