as a jockey i have rode a few riding a horse like this takes alot of patience and use caution for i broke my back on one.....

well, not me. but one of our family friends had a one-eyed race horse that won them over $50k in 3 years. and he was a sweetheart!

One eyed horses are very common actually. Between being kicked or catching a part of a fence, anything like that. No big deal, really.

There is one currently racing over the jumps although I cannot remember its name just now.  However Good Taste won the Manchester November Handicap having only one eye.

My sister owns two of them, both cast offs because of their cosmetic damage.  One from being shot by a BB, the other some sort of unknown damage that left her with a sightless eye that looks like an agate marble more than an eye.  But they both perform very well, and are safe, careful trail horses.  I've ridden the bigger gelding on trails that make me downright nervous, and he's as steady as a rock....never puts a foot down in the wrong spot.
