Does anybody else have problems with AIPTEK camcorders + WINDOWS VISTA?

I recently bought an AIPTEK camcorder (IS-DV2.4) and when I connect it to my computer by USB, and I enter the software disc when it asks me to but after a while it says

"Windows was unable to install your DV cam"

I have a lot of footage on my camera and I really want to upload it onto the computer, can anybody help me out?

vista is useless go back to xp i have had problems with downloading pictures from my mobie /scanner/printer/and web cam. all have cause me problems the only thing i can suggest is you go to the aiptek site and see if you can down load an upgrade there.I had to do this with my hp all in one printer /scanner but the only thing they could offer was drivers for the printer so my scanner wont work at all.
