Don't get me wrong I'm not knocking her for having 5 children,I'm one of 5 myself but it does seem a little hypocritical to me.

  1. How the he!! is that hypocritical?

Are the people who support handing out condoms or birth control hyprocrites if THEY have kids?  Abstinence is a form of birth control.  You GO on birth control if you DON'T WANT to have kids.

You DON'T use birth control if you DO want to have kids.

    WTH?

This question doesn't make any sense.

  2. Like someone with a 2-pack a day cigarette habit teaching a smoking-cessation class?

  3. Yes, I do think it's ironic. And ignorant and unrealistic. So did one of her daughters.

  4. She only believes in abstinence for her daughters and other teen-agers.

Once you are married you should breed and multiply.

  5. she is asking for abstinence before marriage, not during.

  6. abstinence until married not fo life - are you drunk?

  7. she's married to the same man for twenty some-odd years, jack$$. abstinence would be the thing you do before marriage, like while in school and are making bad decisions

  8. What!? Within marriage s*x is great, just not before.

  9. Maybe you should do a little bit of research on your topics before posting them.

  10. Okay, here's the thing about teaching abstinence...

If you DON'T want to have children, then the only 100% effective method is through abstinence.

If you DO want to have children, then you have s*x.

So, no.  There is absolutely nothing ironic or hypocritical about having 5 children and advocating abstinence.

(However, we obviously know how hard it is for people to keep their pants on, which is why other forms of birth control are advisable.  Laughing at the idea of abstinence has become quite popular among some groups - but that's only because we've already conceded the fact that people can't control themselves.)

  11. haha....she is also staunchly against any form of birth control....so there you go!? Her group "Feminists for Life' have tried (unsuccessfully) to link birth control to cancer.
