Does anybody else think that cruises have seriously detrimental affects on the environment?

Seriously. All that waste and pollution. And it doesn't just go away. It floates there, on and on and on and on and on. And because it's just water, it can't decompose.

  2. Do you have some crazy idea that they throw stuff overboard? They don't at all. The bottom of the ship is full of tanks with waste water and such. In the old days like 30 years ago, maybe they did, but not now. I would like to hear what you all heard.

  3. Sure & people travel unnecessarily to boot, but that will never change the people who are determined to travel the world via boat or plane and all the trains, buses & automobiles in between. Factories make more pollution, but I guess that's the price we have to pay if we want to vacation away. To me, it's a fare trade since traveling is so educational as well & well worth the bit of smog. It's those oil rig spills that worry me.
