  1. We all have the ability to keep a beat.

In one interesting psychiatric case an otherwise mentally deficient patient had the ability to accurately tell the time and date without consulting a watch.

  2. Yes.

    It's called the atomic clock.

  3. The time is Now.

And it is for all Eternity.

  4. no time has already elapsed in the time it takes for the light to reach your eyes from the clock.

    Also who determines "real" time?

  5. There is no such thing as "real time".  Time is relative to where you are in space and what the conditions are there.

Example:  When the Apollo astronauts went to the moon and came back, they were traveling at extremely fast speeds, thus time slowed for them.  It was imperceptible to the people, but the highly accurate chronograph that had been placed aboard noted the difference on their return.  The chronograph had been synchronized with an exact copy here on Earth before the flight and after wards there was a difference in the readings.

So you have to arbitrarily set a "zero point" for what you consider "real time", like we have Greenwich, England here on Earth.  All time is figured from that point, to all spots on the globe, measured by atomic clocks which keep incredibly accurate time.

Wow! I never thought of that! Interesting question! I see your point...

  7. You asked a simple question but it is very difficult to give you a simple answer.... First we started with a lunar calender then a solar calender then we went from 13 months a year to 12 months a year now we we use a Julian calender that has to have a day added every 4 years... Now we have GMT that no longer loses a second.... and now we have 5 time zones within America lol.... Well the best that I can do is to give you my time in my time zone it is now 10:11 pm CST...................

  8. Yes,   My time is always NOW   No earlier or later than.
