For example(and I don't know if this exists) going to a place where you would make your own meal together using a bunch of fresh ingredients. Like a cooking class slash restaurant. Something like that, that would give us both a chance to work together and get to know each other better.

  1. Sur la Table, a cookware store in Woodmere has cooking classes at night.  Click the link below for a calendar of events.  The beginning of Sept has a "Date Night" class on Oaxacan (mexican region) cooking.  They arent really cheap, but usually pretty informative and interesting cuisines - Hawaiian Luau, New Orleans Flavors, Classes fill up fast.  Also - next door is a Trader Joe's so you can shop and browse there for fun too!

Also Viking Range Store in Legacy Village has classes like Paris Bistro Fare...

Mustard Seed Organic Markets offer inexpensive classes - Usually around $10-20 a person.  They are in Solon and in Montrose.

Click the second link for a list of 5 Cleveland Cooking Schools.

    Bon Apetit!

  2. Why don't you go to The Melting Pot?  It's a very romantic restaurant where you can cook together.  My husband and I have celebrated anniversaries there before.  It can be very expensive, but it can also be reasonable depending on what you order.

You can cook your own meats in broth or oil, dip your sides in pots of tasty cheese, and cover your dessert in decadent chocolate.  I think that would be great for a date and give you plenty of time to get to know eachother.  Plus, what's more romantic than chocolate and strawberries for dessert?!?

  3. Obviously you are looking for something different--well...I have not heard of a place like the one you are describing but how about some competition like bowling or pool, an ice skating rink or darts. You can always talk in a casual and fun atmosphere and then maybe grab a bite to eat.

  4. There are probably things like that, look them up online. Also, a baseball game would work, they are affordable and long and you would have plenty of time to talk. Plus, they are super fun!

  5. Go fishing? You're thinking of stuff off of the X effect and that's not real. It would be kinda expensive too.

  6. you could go to a lamp lighted miniature golf course (i.e. Putt Putt)
