  1. Just ask.  There is no how.  Just spit it out.  Most horse owners would be glad for the help in exercising their horses.  I know I would.  And I may even let someone ride every now and then.  I do have one horse though that I would not trust a stranger around.

Some states like Missouri have a law protecting horse owners from lawsuits if someone else rides their horses and gets hurt.

  2. first i would watch to see how often the owners groom and actually ride the horses and if u dont hardley see them ride the horses then oneday when u see them just ask if they know of anyone that needs help with grooming and ridding there horses and hopefully they'll say well actually we could do with a hand with ours!make sure u say u have ridden horses before and if your still not sure how to ask them then why dont you ask a friend to ask for you?

  3. most horse people are freindly!

i mean you'll never know unless you ask!

so march up to her and say hi!

then say something nice about her horses, and if she seems like she has time to talk then chat about them if she seems in a rush come back another time =)

    good luck!

  4. catch one of the owners outside and say.........

you have some really pretty horses

(they would probly say ohh thanx)

i absoulutly love horses iv been riding for quite some time now and iv just fallen in love with the sport

but ummm.. if you guys ever go on vacation i would looove to take care of them for you and help clip and groom if you ever needed it

(they would probly say oh come over any time or tell you you could groom or whatever if you wanted to)

  5. Leave them a note, or send a letter.  That way they can think about it before they respond to you.  In the note, include your experience with horses a, horse care, tacking up, riding and grooming...include everything to make your case.  Include your phone number and ask them to call you either way.

Good luck....I hope it works out.

  6. Just for liability reasons you probably wouldn't be allowed to ride them, especially if you haven't ridden much before, but they might agree to feeding and grooming!

Just walk up to them one day and say "Wow, your horses are really pretty- I've always loved horses. Do you think I could help you out with caring for them?" or something like that. It's worth a shot, barn owners always could use a helping hand. Don't be too upset if they don't allow you, maybe if you are interested in horseback riding you could take lessons at a local stable.

Remember not to just go up and ask to take care of their horses, start out just asking to pet the horses, and work your way up from there.  Remember to get your parent's permission to do all this first!

    Good luck!

  7. I see your 13 so take an Adult or older person with you and just say nicely. I'm very interested horses, I wounder could I like to help you with the feeding or grooming of your horses. (Ire)

  8. Hey, I was wondering if maybe I could help out with your horses, since I dont have much else to do.....(thats what I would say)

  9. The best way is to just stop by there house or call and ask them.Explain how much you love horses ,I'm sure they will be fine with it.
