I work for an elementary school in a Pre-K classroom. School will be out in 2 weeks. I want to do a graduation for the kids in the class, 17 kids. I wanted something where the parents would show up and the kids did something. All of this will be happening during school hours. If you have any ideas, let me know!

  1. We are currently working on our graduation for our preschool too. We are having a power point of pictures of all our activities from the year while the kids are standing to the side in their cap and gowns singing "Friends" by Michael W. Smith.

They will be accepting their certificates from our director and their baby pictures will be flashed on the screen when they go up..we asked parents to send these in!

Oh, when they come in down the aisle, we will be playing, "I like to move it, move it!"

    I can't wait!

  2. Have two difrent time machines one that gose to dinasaur times and one that gose to were prinssese are (dinos) boys (castels) girls...........  they could have  a celebration were the girls would play with dolls and the would were big dresse and the boys some can be dinosaurs and some can be hunts the girls can sing a song from cindrela my sister hase them all memorzier and the boys could sing a song about  dinosaurs (find one on google) the parents could make dinosaur treats cookis that look likie plants and pastrs that are shaped s steaks  for the carnavors.and other parents can make cookies that look like rings and a cake that looks like a crown  the can do a dance and at the end for the girls have a really facey certificat and the boys get those cool skisors that make fun cuts and cut edges that look like the dfinosaurs eat it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  That would be a celebration to remember!!

  3. have a little graduation ceremony and have the students sing one or two of their favorite songs and then end it.  Keep it smile.

  4. Preschool graduations are not developmentally appropriate.  Would you plan a typical day where the children were expected to sit down for a long period of time and wait for their name to be called?

If you want to do something for your families, plan an activity for the parents and students to do together -- perhaps something that will give the kids the opportunity to demonstrate what they've learned.

If you want to do a performance have the students do their circle time songs and other songs that they sing on a regular basis for the parents to watch.

  5. I went to a pre k graduation ceremony where that had little caps and recieved little diplomas.

They also sang the days of the week song.

    to the Adam's Family Tune

    "There's Sunday and there's Monday,

    There's Tuesday and there's Wednesday,

    There's Thursday and there's Friday,

    And then there's Sat-ur-day!

Days of the Week <snap, snap!>

Days of the Week <snap, snap!>

    Days of the Week

    Days of the Week

Days of the Week <snap, snap!>

    (repeat)

Sad that I know the song be he sang it ALL summer!

  6. u can choose kids to read books that they never read to show their reading skills.. maybe a fashion show.. a dance.. a traditional dance also can.. or a drama.... the kid will enjoy it.. parents will enjoy too

  7. Make it like a college graduation.  Give them some nice robes and a graduation hat, and make cute little diplomas that say (Preschool name on the top) Presented to.. (name goes there) Who is a big kid now! (in big bold letters) Congrats! and have a picture of a little bear.

Have them sing Pop Goes the Weasel or maybe have them do something fun like We will We will Rock you.  Make sure the parents are there too :)

  8. make mini graduation hats out of paper  let the kids make a page telling there goals for next year than let each kid read there paper to the parents and students have a few snacks and a big graduation cake. Also give them a certifacate and a mini gold medal for each kid also make  a goody bag for each student have about 20 including studens siblings the kids will love it
