Does anybody have any tips on sales?

I'm selling mobile phone insurance, last week my performance was really good, but this week i have not done so well, my attitude is the same which is good and i am really confident. Any tips on improving???

  1. Its a numbers game, the more you phone the better your chances but if you do the job to the best of your ability and don't reach your target there is nothing you can do, make sure you know all the details about the product, make the last call the same as your first call.


  2. Seriously, I suggest you try being LESS confident.  Many people 'shut down' if a Salesperson is too confident, it makes them feel like you are bamboozling them.

    Try pulling your energy back alittle, sound like you're trying to learn what you have to sell, this will make them feel more trusting towards you and put them in a better frame of mind to buy. It worked for me, increased my sale by over 50%

  3. this is precisely the reason why i hate sales and marketing, you do well then great you get paid, and keep your job, you do badly not so great you dont get paid and you lose your job, too many targets to meet, and if its commission only then what a nightmare

  4. From time to time you need to change your marketing tatics to be conductive to the needs and demand of your customers. Like giving them examples of real life situations on thefts and losses of mobile phones.
