I haven't worn contacts in a while and am having trouble putting them in. Does anybody have any simple tricks to make the process easier?

  1. For me, I gently rub my eye balls then I look straight ahead and put them in. After there in, I look up and down left and right to make sure theres no air bubbles or debris. Make sure you have clean hands or you might get a nasty pink eye, it hurts alot.

  2. I teach people how to insert them...I use the "one up, one down method".  Let's say you are right handed...put your left hand over the top of your head and gently lift the upper lid as high as possible (including the lashes but not by the lashes - ouch!); place the contact on the index finger of your right hand and pull down the lower lid gently as far as possible with the middle and ring fingers.  Look slightly to one side of the lens so you are not watching it coming directly at you and place the lens on the eye.  Let the lower lid go first, then the upper lid and slowly close the eye.  Good luck

  3. I use my index finger to hold the contact and my middle finger to pull down the lower lid. I pop in my contact with my index finger and then blink to get the contact into position. Sometimes I have to readjust with my index finger.
