  1. You can go to the craft store and they have chalk markers that are washable, it's actual colored chalk in a marker, and it's in all different bright colors, they come in packs.  Go in and ask someone to lead you to the chalk markers.  I know Michael's carries them.

You can then draw things on the bottom part of the glass, the round part where the stem meets the bottom.  You can draw a heart, star, initials, be creative, no one is going to forget who's glass is who's once they see their glass!

If you don't want to bother with any of that, get those post it strips that are in different colors, the ones that are long and meant to flag pages, each person can take a color, and even put their initials on it, and being post its are self stick, no worries!  They just wrap them around the stem of the glass until the night's over and then take them off at the end of the night.

You can also just take some basic string and tie something around the stem base of each glass.  Something that would distinguish each person's glass from the other.  Whether's it's different colored buttons or charms, etc.  This way everyone will remember what glass they had.

They have new plastic cups out now that have a square of chalk on them and you can just get them and have everyone write what they want on them and then everyone will know who's cup is who's.  They are the regular red plastic cups, but there's a square of chalk and they are disposable.

You can get some washable kid's paint and just paint some numbers on the bottom part of the glasses, I'm sure it will be easy for everyone to remember what number they are.

I hope some of these ideas help and that you have a great party.

  2. If it's wine glasses you can put little wine charms around the stem, if not then put some easy peel off stickers on them. Maybe to the theme of the party or to each individuals favorite hobby. Like a little guitar or car or shoe's etc...

Your guests will be very impressed you went to all that trouble.

  3. if you are using plastic, draw funny pictures using a sharpie on the cups themselves. Thats what we always did in college

  4. try different colours or different glass shapes or why not combine to two good luckxx

  5. You can use stickers or glass chalk markers or charms for wine & champaign glasses.

  6. lulabell's answer is very good.  If you can find plastic "clings" they will be easier to remove from the glassware after the party.

  7. You can buy sets of "wine charms" at most craft, boutique or liquor stores - and even on eBay.  Each little charm is different, and they snap around the stem of the glass ...  You can even get stretch bands in different colors, with different sayings, that fit around soda & beer cans (I got some at Kitchen Connection) .....  Otherwise, you can just tie a different colored ribbon, or raffia, around the stem of each glass......

  8. you can buy trendy little wine glass identity tags now. most department stores sell them. They are cheap and effective.

  9. how about different colored straws? or different colored mini umbrellas? or get some of those cool things filled with water you freeze them and use them like ice cubes..get diff colors and people wont lose their drinks.
