Good question I had the same problem and I solved it in about a month with a simple drill.  First get a partner and buy a bucket of ball and paint spray them 3 different colors, then let your friend pitch them to you and yell out the color when hitting them.

Well. If you keep playing you will learn more about it. There really isnt any tips or anything to help you. It is all mental types of things.

You musn't be scared that the ball it going to hit you. If so then you'll live your whole time of playing in fear. I can understand the fear though being hit by the ball will hurt but you don't have to worry if it is a good pitcher or machine then you shouldn't be afraid it is like 10% that you will ever be hit with a baseball while playing.

It is usual to shut your eyes after the crack when the ball hits the bat.

Just practice and you will get over the phobia of being hit by the ball.

Umm.  

Well, practice.  At for a lotta pitches and try to keep your eyes open.  Dont even swing at the ball, just watch it sore past you.

Im guessing you're scared the ball is going to hit you.  Dont worry.  Just do your thing.  Then practice swinging at the ball.  

Imagine the ball is your bully and sit him over the fence.
