Does anybody have to make Flammkuchen?

I am looking for a recipe to make Flammkuchen, all I know is that is from Germany, it is a thin pizza topped with Quark, onion and bacon.

  1. This is one of Yves' specialties. It's from Alsace, a bit of land between France and Germany that has been owned alternately by the two countries in a tug-o-war battle that ended more or less sometime after Alsace voted to be French. As a result of this history, the recipes of the region are a fusion of French and German cuisine.

    Ingredients

        Thin and crispy pizza base

        Onion (sliced)

        Bacon or pancetta (cubed)

        Creme fraiche  or just use sour cream to your liking

    Method

        Pre-heat oven to

        Pan-fry bacon and onion together

        Spread creme fraiche or sour cream onto the pizza base

        Top pizza base with cooked onions and bacon

        Pop into the oven for around 10-20 mins until it's cooked to your liking.
