  1. DeVry is a private college with a bad reputation.  The same can be said for the University of Phoenix's campus in Calgary.

The University of Calgary is the only comprehensive university in the city, but it is poorly ranked among Canadian universities.

Mount Royal College is one of the better schools in the city for practical business education.

Southern Alberta Institute of Technology is one of the best schools in the country for technical education.  I believe it offers applied information systems degrees.

St. Mary's University College is a small liberal arts college, Catholic but open to all, in the city's south.  It is a very conservative school but boasts small class sizes.

I have no experience with the University of Lethbridge or Bow Valley College, unfortunately.

    Good luck with Calgary!
