Does anybody (in Indian families) still touch older siblings' feet these days?

My parents told me when they were growing up, they were expected to touch older siblings' or cousins' feet just like any other elders' feet out of respect in true Indian tradition, but I don't see it happening too much with this generation. I mean, I've seen younger people touch their grandparents', aunts' and uncles' feet, but not their siblings'. Is is still common?

its diminishing as the time is moving ahead. not daily does we touch their feets but on some occasions,festivals.

ya,ofcourse there are many peoole who still do this.u can find this happening very commonly in madhya pradesh and states like it.

according to indian civilization you ought to touch feet of your elders,

they may be elder by age, education, knowledge or anything.

Depends upon the cultural tradition the family follows. I have seen many such families. But touching feet of elder siblings is not many. In general feet of parents, grand parents, teachers and people of the upper generations are touched now a days.

Yes you are right ,touching feet of elder siblings has diminished , bcoz siblings now are more like friends , still younger touches elder's feet on occassions. I love my sister and I touch her feet occassionaly.

It depends which family u belongs to and what moral values and ethics ur parents inherited in you.
