Does anybody know a big, cheap place in N.J. to throw a sweet 13?

My daughter, and her friend want to have a sweet 13. We live in NJ and are looking for a big cheap place. The party will be held in Mid-January. We don't want to have anything like Chucke Chesse or Mcdonald's. We are doing are own theme, and all we need is a big place, or room. Thanks!

Call your local YMCA or YWCA and see how much they charge to rent their pool after hours.

We did this for our grandson for his 16th birthday in January the year before last and it was a huge hit with his friends....being able to go swimming in the middle of winter. The pool was large (they hold swim meets there, there were diving boards but it also had a shallow end) heated and they supplied a life guard and a good size party room that we were able to decorate and eat pizza & cake in. We had the pizza delivered but you could certainly bring your own food. I think we got the pool for $80 for 2 hours BUT this was a smaller college town Y (pop.under 30,000). A bigger city one might charge more or stay open later. And no, you don't have to be a member to rent the pool after hours.

sweet 13? what is this world coming to? These kids watch those spoiled brats on the TV show Sweet Sixteen and now they want to be like them!  We need to teach our kids not to be materialistic like the girls on that show!

I AM SORT OF WITH THE PREVOUS RESPONDANT....THIS BIRTHDAY AND WEDDING STUFF HAS GOTTEN  OUTTA HAND.  HOWEVER.....IF YOU REALLY WANT TO THROW MONEY DOWN THE DRAIN, AND YET DO IT CHEAPLY....WHY DONT YOU TRY A LOCAL VETS HALL?

BTW......WHERE IN JERSEY ARE YOU?  THAT DOES MAKE A DIFF.   SEEMS LIKE YOU ARE DOING A KIDS PARTY SO ALL YOU NEED IS A HALL......AND YOU WILL DO THE REST.  TRY THE VETS.....TRY THE ELKS, THE MOOSE, THE KNIGHTS......ALL OF THEM ARE GREAT .......AND IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO APPEAR MORE LA DEE DAH.......WHY NOT TRY A LOCAL PRIVATE COUNTRY CLUB???

SORRY FOR THE COMMENTARY....BUT IT IS A TAD DUMB.  YOU'RE KID IS 13.........THROW A SMALL HOUSE PARTY WITH A FEW FRIENDS SHE WANTS AND CALL IT A DAY.  STOP OVERRRRRR INDULGING AND TRYING TO EMULATE WHAT THE KIDS SEE ON TV.
