AutoCAD is a very simple and basic software....I would not recommend buying any of the books available in the market, because you can learn most of what is taught by hands-on practice....and a little experimentation.

However there are some good books on AutoCad customization....check out

Do not waste any money on books. That's what the help files are there for. Go to the help files and read through. Do the exercises. You are now on your way to being an expat.
