Does anybody know a great place in the Dallas TX area where I can throw a BBQ , with an open field 4 football?

Arbor Hills Nature Preserve, 6701 W Parker Rd, Plano, TX 75093.

You might have to bring a grill, but from what I remember they have them there. They also have a huge field located near the picnic tables. It's free, it's fun, and best of all they have great trails so I would recommend y'all bring bikes or something of the sort.

most any city park in dallas.  depends on where you are and how busy the park is that day.  You can always rent a field somewhere - just don't know where.

How many people are you thinking because I do have one suggestion but they may throw you out; however, if you know someone that lives in the Village Country Club than you could have it in the country club area ~ it is for residence and their guest only unless you go and rent it out which they will do for $

The previous answers are all correct.  Dallas has hundreds of parks with hundreds of multipurpose fields.  Here is the link to the Parks & Rec with a map of some of the parks.  Depending on the size of your party, and especially if you're planning to cookout, you'll want to reserve your space.  Some parks are just better than others, but it all depends on the location you're looking for.  Just click on reservations or call.
