Does anybody know a software in which you can create a 3D character?

I mean with that a designing studio in which you can create anything from a square to the weirdest shape...because I am really bored at the pc and don't wnna play boring online games..

Blender is an awesome free 3D design program. You can make whole movies from it even. Its rather complicated to learn but its time well spent once you master it.
