Does anybody know a stamp market in nyc?

my dad found some really old stamps and wants to know how much they are worth because he wants to sell them.

Hello - depends what "really old" means, what country, how many, if they are on or off paper, and what condition they are in.  either look online to see if you can determine what year they are from or buy a book and look it up.  then take a picture and put them up on ebay with a starting price lower than the book value says because stamps are selling below that book value (and have been for years), alot have come n the market with ebay.   Alternatively put them on craisglist and see what you can get that way, saves ebay fees etc.  feel free to send me pictures, Ill give you some idea if i can - I'm a very active stamp collector and have been for years, and may know something about his find to be able to help, depends what he has.

there are several stamp stores and appraisers in the city.  Not sure which is the best.  He may want to check out 2 or 3 to compare the value and make sure he is getting a good deal
